Mauricio Pochettino's long list of injury-absentees includes all of Wesley Fofana (knee), Reece James (thigh), Lesley Ugochukwu (hamstring), Levi Colwill (toe), Romeo Lavia (thigh) and Christopher Nkunku (thigh).

Ben Chilwell has reportedly returned from international duty due to a knee concern but the defender is available to feature against his former side with the injury considered not serious as predicted.

Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez is sidelined with his suspension on account of multiple yellow cards while Italian midfielder Cesare Casadei is absent after featuring for Leicester in the FA Cup this season.

Chelsea predicted XI: Sanchez; Gusto, Disasi, Chalobah, Cucurella; Caicedo, Gallagher; Mudryk, Palmer, Sterling; Jackson

Ricardo Pereira and Dennis Praet have both suffered hamstring injuries since the Foxes' victory against Bournemouth in the previous round making them unavailable until the next round of the competition if the visitors go through.

The Foxes also have Kasey McAteer and Jamie Vardy confined to the treatment room with their respective injuries.

Leicester City predicted XI: Hermansen; Choudhury, Faes, Vestergaard, Justin; Dewsbury-Hall, Winks; Fatawu, Akgun, Mavididi; Daka

The Blues are heavy favourites to reach the FA Cup semi-finals and will be expected to book another trip to Wembley. But defeat would turn up the pressure on Pochettino and leave Chelsea with little play for this season.

Kasey McAteer and Ricardo Pereira have also been ruled out and Wilfred Ndidi is managing a nagging issue, with the Foxes vowing to play their strongest team.

The Blues will be keen to make amends for their Carabao Cup final defeat to Liverpool last month, but looked shaky against another Championship side in the previous round, leaving it late to beat Leeds 3-2 in a gripping fifth-round clash in February.

Leicester are currently flying high at the top of the Championship, and manager Enzo Maresca could be forgiven for seeing this match as a distraction as his looks to guide his side back to the English Premier League. But the Foxes currently have the wind in their sails, and will fancy their chances of pulling off a shock against a Chelsea side that continues to look vulnerable at the back.

Youri Tielemans settled the match that day, with the Foxes now back in the Championship and pushing for the title and promotion to the Premier League.

While Mauricio Pochettino’s side are looking for a spark as their new project gradually gets off the ground at Stamford Bridge, despite an agonising defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final. The Blues eased past Leeds in the last round thanks to Conor Gallagher’s last-minute winner, while Leicester snatched victory at Bournemouth to arrive at this stage.

The Blues host the Foxes at Stamford Bridge in the quarter-final of the prestigious cup competition. Chelsea beat Leeds United in the fifth round to book their place in the last eight against Leicester.

Mauricio Pochettino will be determined to win a major trophy in his first season in charge at Chelsea. After missing out on the Carabao Cup in the final defeat to Liverpool, the FA Cup remains the Blues' only opportunity to win any silverware this term.

Chelsea are now just one win away from securing a spot in a semi-final at Wembley Stadium next month. Before then, though, Pochettino will be focused on ensuring the team beats Leicester before attention switches to the prospect of another Wembley final.
